I was on a ventilator when I arrived at The Grove of Elmhurst early this year, after three months in the hospital. I was assessed and immediately began  physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapy. Because of the speech therapy, I could start eating again, and with the help of respiratory therapy, I began weaning from oxygen. I can now carry on a conversation and go for long periods without additional help. The physical and occupational therapists got me up and walking again! Since I came to The Grove, I have progressed very quickly toward my recovery. The staff here is very good at what they do. I would especially like to thank Gladys, Kimberly, and Colleen. They hit a home run for me. I would highly recommend The Grove of Elmhurst to anyone who needs rehabilitation!

I came to The Grove of Elmhurst for short-term rehabilitation and upon arrival, the team immediately made a care plan for my recovery. I looked forward to my therapy even when I was tired, and they helped me meet my goals. I am now walking with the assistance of a walker after being admitted in a wheelchair. The facility was also very nice and always clean. I am grateful to everyone at The Grove for helping me get back to independent living.
